The Village of Colfax is the “RU” (Responsible Unit) for solid waste and recycling services for the Town of Spring Brook and other municipalities.

Town of Spring Brook residents may utilize the Elk Mound or Colfax site for solid waste and recyclables. The solid waste and recycling permits, collection site schedule, and fee schedule are mailed to Town residents with the tax bills, along with the Town’s newsletter and detail of valuations and mill rates. As in past years for the Town of Spring Brook, the cost of the solid waste and recycling program, aside from the disposal of construction materials and non-recycling items, is paid through the Town’s property tax levy.
